On June 24, 2026, two powerful earthquakes—measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude—struck north-central Venezuela just seconds apart. The epicenter was located near Morón, in Carabobo state, and the tremors were felt across much of the country.
The hardest-hit areas include Carabobo, La Guaira, Aragua, and the Caracas metropolitan area. Thousands of people have seen their homes damaged or destroyed; emergency teams are continuing the search for survivors, and aftershocks remain a risk to the population. Official assessments are ongoing, and figures regarding those affected are changing as rescue operations progress.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
1. Donate
Financial donations are the most effective way to help during an emergency, as they allow supplies to be purchased where they are needed most and support the immediate response.

2. Share verified information
Avoid spreading rumors or unconfirmed messages. Sharing reliable information saves lives, too.

3. Support the Venezuelan diaspora
Many people abroad are organizing fundraising and support campaigns. Sharing these initiatives can help expand their reach.

4. Stay informed
Needs evolve rapidly. In the coming days, the priority will shift from rescue operations to humanitarian aid and, subsequently, to community recovery.

5. Pray
Keep Venezuela in your prayers.
In times of sorrow, many families find strength in knowing they are not alone. If prayer is your way of helping, it is also a way to support those currently facing this emergency.
